It doesn’t cost anything to be kind.

Kindness is a rare quality these days, the world has become so competitive and a bit heartless, we are all so busy trying to make it and small things such as giving someone a smile and greeting them is almost a chore. The world views that behaviour as something odd. I left London because of its unfriendly atmosphere to move to Manchester nearly 10 years ago.

This might be a bit of a cliche but I will say it anyway, it doesn’t cost anything to show a bit of kindness to someone as you pass them by, it might brighten that person’s day. I am not saying empty everything from your purse or wallet and give it to the first homeless person you see but a giving a smile does not cost a penny.

Sometimes our black community lacks the empathy that we need at times, we are too busy showing off and having punch ups with each other, why?
